Investments

Our strategies

For SSS members, scheme benefits (other than the cash resignation benefit) are calculated using a benefit formula established under the scheme rules and are generally payable as a lifetime pension.

While SSS member and employer contributions are invested in the Trustee Selection Strategy, it is the defined benefit scheme formula, not the Fund's investment returns, which determines contributory members' final benefit.

For deferred benefit members, the benefit that would have otherwise been paid at the time you ceased employment, is adjusted for investment earnings at the Fund Earning Rate and management charges since the date the benefit was deferred. For further information refer to How is your deferred benefit invested?
