It is with great sadness that we witness the immense destruction being wrought by the fierce bushfires raging across NSW and in other States.

Whether it is fighting these fires, supporting our communities as police, ambulance staff, nurses, health service professionals or teachers, we thank you all and want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

We may all have friends and family, or people we know of, who have lost homes, livelihoods or tragically, loved ones. We grieve with you at this terrible time.

As a small symbol of our solidarity, State Super is donating $10,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service to help support the communities that need it most and will continue to commit to ongoing support to our members in need. State Super will also match donations to NSW RFS from our employees, dollar for dollar.

As you may have seen in the media, NSW RFS has advised that the best way to help is to donate money rather than physical items.  If you would also like to donate to NSW RFS, please go to https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/volunteer/support-your-local-brigade

**Update**

State Super donated $10,000 in January 2020 and a further $1,225 in February 2020 to match employee donations.
